Bevy Smart Collections Builder vs Pushy | Out Of Stock Push Downfor Shopify (2026)
Bevy Smart Collections Builder and Pushy | Out Of Stock Push Down both aim to improve product collections on Shopify stores, but they serve fundamentally different purposes. Bevy Smart Collections Builder focuses on *building* collections using complex rules based on tags and metafields. Its strength lies in its granular control over collection membership, making it ideal for merchants with large, diverse catalogs needing highly specific product groupings. In contrast, Pushy | Out Of Stock Push Down concentrates on *optimizing* the display of existing collections by automatically managing out-of-stock items. Its strength is in enhancing the customer shopping experience by ensuring in-stock products are prioritized. The primary difference lies in their core functionality. Bevy Smart Collections Builder is for creating dynamic collections based on product attributes, requiring configuration and potentially some understanding of product tagging and metafield usage. Pushy | Out Of Stock Push Down automates a specific aspect of collection management – pushing out-of-stock items to the bottom – and prioritizes ease of use with one-click enable options and no theme changes. The choice between the two depends entirely on the merchant's needs: collection creation versus collection optimization for availability.
