BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky vs Lightning Deals: Sales Boosterfor Shopify (2026)
Both BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky and Lightning Deals: Sales Booster are Shopify apps within the Countdown timer category and both boast a perfect 5/5 rating. However, BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky is geared towards creating urgency and excitement around Black Friday/Cyber Monday (BFCM) and likely other flash sales periods using banners and bars. Lightning Deals: Sales Booster appears to be a more generalized sales-boosting tool focused on creating lightning deals, suggesting a wider application beyond specific holiday periods. A significant difference lies in the number of reviews, with BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky having substantially more feedback, indicating greater usage and broader experience within the Shopify merchant community. BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky likely targets merchants who prioritize visual appeal and promotional messaging leading up to BFCM or similar events. Its banner and bar functionality aims to capture visitor attention and drive conversions during peak shopping seasons. Conversely, Lightning Deals: Sales Booster potentially appeals to merchants who seek a more dynamic approach to sales, creating short-lived offers to incentivize immediate purchases throughout the year. The app's name implies a focus on creating a sense of scarcity and urgency for specific products or collections. The massive difference in reviews suggests a greater risk associated with Lightning Deals: Sales Booster.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a proven and reliable solution for BFCM promotions, BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky is the safer choice due to its high rating and significantly larger number of reviews. Its banner and bar features are likely user-friendly and effective for driving sales during peak seasons. The risk is considered relatively low, considering the feedback from more than 100 users.
If a merchant is specifically interested in creating time-sensitive offers for individual products throughout the year, Lightning Deals: Sales Booster might be worth exploring. However, the extremely limited number of reviews suggests a higher risk of encountering bugs, compatibility issues, or inadequate support. It is recommended for very early adopters with a high-risk tolerance and enough technical knowledge to overcome potential issues. New Shopify store owners are likely to benefit from selecting an app with high number of positive reviews.
