Our Verdict
Based on the available data, BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky is the safer and more reliable choice for most Shopify merchants. Its proven track record of positive reviews and a high rating instill confidence in its functionality and effectiveness. It's particularly well-suited for merchants running promotional campaigns, especially around Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
Shaky - Cart Button Animator might be worth experimenting with if a merchant is specifically focused on improving the click-through rate of their 'Add to Cart' button and is willing to take a risk on a newer app without established social proof. However, the lack of reviews makes it difficult to ascertain its effectiveness or ease of use. Merchants should proceed with caution and closely monitor their results if choosing Shaky.
Common Questions
Which app is better for running a Black Friday campaign?
BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky is clearly the better choice for a Black Friday campaign, as its core functionality is built around promoting deals and creating urgency specifically for that period. Shaky - Cart Button Animator's generic button animation might provide a small boost, but it's not designed for campaign-specific promotions.
Which app is easier to use?
Shaky - Cart Button Animator claims to be exceptionally easy to use with a one-click installation, but this is unverified. BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky is likely also easy to use, given its high rating and positive reviews, though specific details are unknown. Lacking verified evidence, it's impossible to declare a clear winner.
Which app offers better value for money?
This depends on the pricing of each app (which is unavailable) and the results achieved. However, based on the available data, BFCM Bars & Banners—Quicky likely offers better value due to its proven track record and positive user feedback. The risk of a non-functioning or ineffective app is much lower compared to Shaky.
Are both apps likely to slow down my Shopify store?
It's possible that either app could impact store speed, depending on its code quality and resource usage. However, without further technical information, it's impossible to assess the impact. Merchants should monitor their store speed after installing either app and uninstall it if it causes significant slowdowns.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but using both apps simultaneously might be redundant or even counterproductive. Animated ATC buttons combined with urgent banner messages could overwhelm visitors. It's advisable to test each app separately to gauge its impact and then determine if combining them provides any additional benefit.
