BGN EUR Dual Currency Display vs Easy Translationfor Shopify (2026)
BGN EUR Dual Currency Display and Easy Translation, while both listed under 'Currency and translation' on Shopify, serve distinctly different purposes. BGN EUR Dual Currency Display is a highly specialized app aimed at merchants operating in Bulgaria or targeting Bulgarian customers, enabling automatic display of prices in both Bulgarian Lev and Euro. Its strength lies in its simplicity and ease of use, boasting a 5/5 rating and automatic, code-free implementation. Easy Translation, on the other hand, is a general-purpose translation app designed to translate all kinds of store content into 135 languages, powered by DeepL. Its target audience is merchants seeking to expand their reach to international markets through multi-language support. The key differentiator is the scope: BGN EUR Dual Currency Display focuses exclusively on dual currency display (BGN and EUR), prioritizing convenience and immediate value for a niche market. Easy Translation offers broad language translation capabilities, requiring more configuration but providing a much wider range of localization options. While Easy Translation has translation limits, BGN EUR Dual Currency Display has currency conversion limitations.

Our Verdict
For merchants specifically needing to display prices in both Bulgarian Lev and Euro, BGN EUR Dual Currency Display is the clear winner. Its ease of use and automatic setup make it a hassle-free solution. However, if the goal is to translate store content into multiple languages to reach a broader international audience, Easy Translation is the better choice, despite its slightly lower rating and required configuration. It provides a wider range of translation options and supports a significantly larger number of languages.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific needs. A Bulgarian business would likely start with BGN EUR Dual Currency Display, while a business expanding globally will need Easy Translation.
