BGN EUR Dual Currency Display vs Polyglot Translatefor Shopify (2026)
BGN EUR Dual Currency Display and Polyglot Translate, while both falling under the 'Currency and Translation' Shopify category, serve fundamentally different purposes. BGN EUR Dual Currency Display is a highly specialized app designed for merchants who need to display prices in both Bulgarian Lev and Euro. Its strength lies in its simplicity and ease of use, offering automatic price conversion without requiring any coding or complex setup. The target audience is clearly defined: Shopify store owners operating in Bulgaria or targeting customers who need to see prices in both BGN and EUR. Polyglot Translate, on the other hand, is a broader translation app that allows merchants to translate their entire store content into multiple languages. It focuses on providing a user-friendly interface for managing translations, including features like import/export and side-by-side text fields. While it touches on the 'Translation' aspect of the shared category, it doesn't inherently handle currency conversion in the same way as BGN EUR Dual Currency Display. Polyglot Translate's target audience is Shopify store owners looking to expand their reach to international markets by offering their store in multiple languages.

Our Verdict
The choice between BGN EUR Dual Currency Display and Polyglot Translate hinges entirely on the merchant's needs. If a store owner specifically requires prices to be displayed in both Bulgarian Lev and Euro, BGN EUR Dual Currency Display is the obvious choice due to its focused functionality and effortless setup. Its high rating (5/5) suggests that users find it effective for its intended purpose.
However, if the merchant's goal is to reach a broader, multilingual audience by translating their entire store into multiple languages, then Polyglot Translate is the more suitable option. While its rating is slightly lower (4.7/5) and has fewer reviews, it offers the necessary tools for comprehensive translation management. In essence, they solve different problems for different types of Shopify merchants.
