BGN / Euro Prices Display vs YouQuote: Request a Quote Formfor Shopify (2026)
BGN / Euro Prices Display and YouQuote: Request a Quote Form are Shopify apps in the 'Pricing' category, but they cater to drastically different needs. BGN / Euro Prices Display is highly specialized, designed to help Bulgarian Shopify merchants comply with regulations during the Euro transition by displaying prices in both BGN and EUR on the order Thank You page. It is targeted specifically towards stores operating with the Bulgarian currency and shipping to Bulgarian addresses. In contrast, YouQuote: Request a Quote Form is a general-purpose tool that allows merchants to implement a 'Request a Quote' functionality on their store, enabling customers to ask for customized pricing based on their needs. The primary difference lies in their core functionality and target audience. BGN / Euro Prices Display is built for a specific legal requirement in a specific region, focusing on post-purchase display on the thank you page. YouQuote, on the other hand, addresses pre-purchase negotiation and personalized pricing, appealing to businesses selling customizable products or services where fixed pricing isn't suitable. The significant difference in user reviews also provides insight; YouQuote has a strong reputation based on 27 reviews, while BGN / Euro Prices Display has no reviews currently.

Our Verdict
The choice between BGN / Euro Prices Display and YouQuote: Request a Quote Form depends entirely on the merchant's needs. For Bulgarian Shopify store owners who need to comply with Euro transition regulations by displaying prices in both BGN and EUR on the Thank You page for orders shipped to Bulgaria, BGN / Euro Prices Display is the only logical choice, even with the lack of reviews. Its specific focus makes it essential for that niche.
However, if a merchant requires a 'Request a Quote' functionality to handle custom pricing for their products or services, YouQuote: Request a Quote Form is the superior option, backed by a strong 5-star rating and 27 reviews. It offers a way to engage with customers and offer customized pricing, a capability not addressed by BGN / Euro Prices Display. The lack of reviews for BGN / Euro Prices Display makes it harder to judge usability, but its focus is so narrow that it might be the only viable option for its target market.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
BGN / Euro Prices Display explicitly states 'Simple setup via Theme Customizer - no coding required'. While YouQuote doesn't specify setup ease, the positive user reviews imply a reasonable level of user-friendliness.
Does BGN / Euro Prices Display work outside of Bulgaria?
Based on its description, BGN / Euro Prices Display is designed specifically for orders in BGN with Bulgarian shipping addresses. It is unlikely to be useful or functional outside of Bulgaria.
Can YouQuote be used to automatically calculate shipping costs?
The description of YouQuote focuses on requesting custom prices. It doesn't mention any functionality for automatically calculating shipping costs. Shipping cost calculations would likely need to be integrated separately by the merchant when providing the quote.
What happens if the BGN/EUR conversion rate fluctuates?
The description of BGN/Euro Prices Display does not address this. The app would need to update dynamically based on the current exchange rate to be accurate. The app developer would need to be on top of maintaining an accurate and updated conversion rate source.
Which app is more likely to increase sales?
YouQuote is *designed* to potentially increase sales by offering personalized pricing. BGN / Euro Prices Display is more about compliance and customer transparency which *could* build trust and lead to repeat business but its primary objective is compliance, not sales generation.
