Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing unlimited storage and a large variety of digital file types, including license keys, BIG Digital Downloads Products appears to be the better choice. The slightly higher rating and larger number of reviews further suggest strong user satisfaction. However, if brand customization, ease of setup (3-step vs. potentially more complex configurations), and robust content protection features like watermarking and disabling access for refunded orders are paramount, Digital Downloads ‑ Filemonk is more suitable.
Ultimately, the choice depends on specific needs. If a simple, brand-focused experience with strong security is key, Filemonk is superior. If unlimited downloads and a vast range of file types including licenses is vital, and the slightly more involved setup is acceptable, then BIG Digital Downloads Products is preferred. Merchants should weigh these priorities based on their individual business model.
