Our Verdict
The choice between BIG Digital Downloads Products and Orderify hinges entirely on the merchant's business model and pain points. If the core business involves selling digital products, BIG Digital Downloads Products is the clear winner with its strong focus on digital asset management and delivery. The 5/5 rating with a large number of reviews provides more confidence in its ability to fulfill the needs of digital product sellers.
However, if the business focuses on physical goods and struggles with managing order changes, cancellations, or repeat orders, Orderify is the more appropriate choice. Its features directly address these pain points, automating tasks, reducing customer support workload, and potentially increasing revenue through simplified reordering. Although it has fewer reviews and a slightly lower rating, the benefits of self-service order management can be significant for certain businesses.
Common Questions
Can I use both BIG Digital Downloads Products and Orderify together?
Potentially, yes. BIG Digital Downloads Products handles digital goods, while Orderify manages order processes. If you sell both digital and physical goods and need both functionalities, the apps could complement each other. However, be mindful of potential conflicts and overall app bloat on your store.
Does BIG Digital Downloads Products integrate with any third-party software?
The provided data does not specify any third-party integrations beyond its role as an alternative to services like WeTransfer and Dropbox. Additional research would be needed to confirm integrations with other software.
Does Orderify support partial order cancellations?
The description implies that Order Editing cancels the order and reloads the items. Partial order cancellation may not be explicitly supported, as the process prioritizes editing the whole order before recreating it.
How easy is it to set up BIG Digital Downloads Products?
The app description uses the phrase "Download/upload in 1-click any file" and "Easy to sell downloadable digital assets." This suggests the user experience for managing digital products is straightforward, but actual ease of use requires testing.
What are the potential drawbacks of using Orderify's order cancellation feature?
The description notes that Orderify cancels the original order to enable editing. This could complicate fulfillment workflows if an order is cancelled and edited close to the fulfillment process, especially with advanced inventory management or dropshipping setups. Careful configuration and monitoring are likely necessary.
