BIG Digital Downloads Products vs Parcel Panel Order Trackingfor Shopify (2026)
BIG Digital Downloads Products and Parcel Panel Order Tracking are both highly rated Shopify apps (5/5), but they cater to vastly different needs. BIG Digital Downloads Products focuses on enabling merchants to sell digital goods like ebooks, software licenses, and digital files. It offers features for secure delivery, download limitations, and even PDF stamping, positioning itself as an alternative to platforms like Etsy for digital asset sales. Parcel Panel Order Tracking, on the other hand, concentrates on post-purchase order tracking, providing customers with visibility into the shipping process and improving customer satisfaction through transparency. BIG Digital Downloads Products addresses the pre-purchase and immediate post-purchase stage for digital products, handling delivery and security. Parcel Panel Order Tracking addresses the post-purchase stage for physical products, focusing on shipment visibility. One is about creating and delivering a digital product offering; the other is about managing the shipping and tracking of physical goods.

Our Verdict
The choice between BIG Digital Downloads Products and Parcel Panel Order Tracking depends entirely on the type of product a merchant is selling. If the merchant deals in digital goods, BIG Digital Downloads Products is the clear choice, providing all the necessary tools for secure sales and delivery. However, for merchants selling physical products that require shipping, Parcel Panel Order Tracking is essential for enhancing the customer experience and reducing support inquiries related to shipment status. There's no overlap in their core function, so needing one does not negate the need for the other, if the merchant sells both types of product. In that case, they could (and probably should) use both.
