BIG Digital Downloads Products vs Shipupfor Shopify (2026)
BIG Digital Downloads Products and Shipup serve entirely different segments of the Shopify ecosystem. BIG Digital Downloads Products focuses on enabling merchants to sell digital goods, offering features like unlimited storage, download limitations, license key sales, and even PDF stamping. Its core strength lies in facilitating the sale and delivery of digital assets, positioning itself as an alternative to cloud storage services for digital commerce. Shipup, on the other hand, is dedicated to enhancing the post-purchase customer experience. It offers proactive order tracking, branded tracking pages, returns management, and AI-powered delivery estimates, aiming to reduce customer support inquiries and increase customer loyalty. The vast difference in review count highlights the disparity in market adoption and longevity. BIG Digital Downloads Products, with 600 reviews, demonstrates a significant user base, likely attracted to its simple and focused purpose. Shipup, while rated highly (4.9/5), has only 9 reviews, suggesting it is a newer entrant or caters to a smaller, perhaps more specialized, niche. The choice between these apps depends entirely on the merchant's business model: BIG Digital Downloads Products for those selling digital goods and Shipup for those focused on optimizing the shipping and delivery experience of physical products.

Our Verdict
The choice between BIG Digital Downloads Products and Shipup is straightforward: If you sell digital products, BIG Digital Downloads Products is the clear choice. Its feature set is specifically designed for managing and delivering digital assets. The high rating and large number of reviews suggest it is a reliable and effective solution.
Conversely, if you sell physical goods, Shipup is the more appropriate solution. It focuses on improving the post-purchase experience through proactive tracking and communication. While its review count is low, the high rating suggests that users who have adopted it are satisfied with its performance. However, the low review count means it could be riskier to adopt than BIG Digital Downloads Products.
