Bird Pickup Delivery Date vs Frenetfor Shopify (2026)
Bird Pickup Delivery Date and Frenet are both Shopify apps in the Shipping category, but they address drastically different needs. Bird focuses on providing a highly customizable local delivery and pickup scheduling experience, emphasizing control and flexibility for merchants who prioritize timing and customer convenience. It aims to be an all-in-one solution for scheduling, delivery rates, order management, and notifications. Frenet, on the other hand, positions itself as a shipping aggregator, primarily focused on affordability and carrier integration within Brazil. Its key strength lies in connecting merchants to Brazilian carriers to offer cheaper shipping rates, automatic tracking, and shipping protection. Bird appears to target businesses that handle their own deliveries or pickups, or use local delivery partners where precise scheduling is paramount. The focus on customization and operational control makes it ideal for businesses valuing customer experience around precise delivery times. Frenet seems geared toward merchants selling within Brazil who prioritize cost-effectiveness and integration with major Brazilian carriers. Its emphasis on shipping protection and automated tracking addresses common concerns for shipping in that region. The review counts and ratings suggest a larger, more satisfied user base for Bird, while Frenet may cater to a niche market.

Our Verdict
For merchants outside of Brazil, or those within Brazil who prioritize precise local delivery scheduling and control, Bird Pickup Delivery Date is the clear winner. Its comprehensive feature set and strong user ratings suggest it's a reliable solution for managing complex pickup and delivery operations. The customizability empowers merchants to create a tailored experience that aligns with their brand and operational needs.
Frenet, on the other hand, is specifically designed for Brazilian merchants seeking to optimize shipping costs and streamline carrier management within Brazil. If your business operates within Brazil and relies on Brazilian carriers, Frenet's focus on affordability, carrier integration, and shipping protection makes it a valuable tool. However, its limited geographic scope makes it unsuitable for businesses operating outside of or selling internationally beyond Brazil.
Common Questions
Which app is better for international businesses?
Bird Pickup Delivery Date is likely the better option for international businesses due to its multi-language support (20+ languages) and global applicability. Frenet is primarily focused on the Brazilian market.
Which app offers better shipping rates?
Frenet explicitly claims to offer cheaper shipping rates within Brazil by connecting merchants to local carriers. Bird focuses on rate calculation based on factors like zone, distance, weight, and time slot, but not necessarily the lowest possible rates.
Does Bird Pickup Delivery Date support integration with carriers?
Bird mentions integration with delivery partners but does not specify direct carrier integrations in the same way Frenet does. Its strength is in managing the delivery scheduling and operations, potentially including integrating with route optimization software used by delivery partners.
Which app is easier to set up?
While both apps aim for ease of use, Frenet's focus on Brazilian carrier integration likely makes it quicker to set up for merchants already familiar with those carriers. Bird, with its extensive customization options, may require more initial configuration.
Which app offers more advanced delivery scheduling features?
Bird Pickup Delivery Date provides significantly more advanced delivery scheduling features, including customizable date pickers, blockout dates, prep times, lead times, and order limits. Frenet primarily focuses on shipping and does not offer the same level of scheduling customization.
