Our Verdict
For merchants seeking granular control over their store's design and willing to invest in custom coding, BL Custom HTML CSS JS Liquid offers unparalleled flexibility. However, the very low number of reviews raises a significant trust concern. Merchants should exercise caution due to the lack of validation from other users. On the other hand, Chaty is the clear choice for businesses prioritizing accessible and efficient customer communication. Its ease of use, wide range of supported chat platforms, and proven track record (as indicated by the substantial number of reviews) make it a reliable option for improving customer engagement and support.
Common Questions
Can I use both apps together?
Yes, you could technically use both apps. BL Custom HTML CSS JS Liquid could be used to customize the look and feel of your store, potentially including the appearance of the Chaty widget, while Chaty manages your customer communication channels.
Which app is better for beginners?
Chaty is far more suitable for beginners due to its user-friendly interface and lack of coding requirements. BL Custom HTML CSS JS Liquid demands coding expertise to be effectively utilized.
Which app is more focused on customer support?
Chaty is explicitly designed to enhance customer support by providing a convenient and accessible chat widget for customers to communicate with the business.
How do the apps impact my store's performance?
The impact on performance depends on how each app is used. Poorly written custom code in BL Custom HTML CSS JS Liquid could negatively impact store speed. Chaty might have a minimal impact, but excessive use of features or a large number of enabled chat platforms could potentially slow down page load times slightly.
Is one app more future-proof than the other?
Chaty likely has better long-term prospects due to the inherent need for communication tools in ecommerce. It's highly adaptable with integrations of trending platforms. BL Custom HTML CSS JS Liquid is also relatively future-proof as long as websites can still be customized with code. However, the app being abandoned by its developers is a major risk given that it has just one review.
