Blackcart ‑ Try Before You Buy vs Détaxer avec SolPayfor Shopify (2026)
Blackcart ‑ Try Before You Buy and Détaxer avec SolPay are both Shopify apps in the 'Payment options - Other' category, but they serve vastly different purposes. Blackcart likely offers a 'try before you buy' payment option, allowing customers to test products before committing to a purchase. Détaxer avec SolPay, on the other hand, specifically caters to merchants based in France who need to handle détaxe (VAT refunds) for international customers. SolPay automates the generation of détaxe forms, streamlining the process and eliminating manual data entry. The key difference lies in their target market and functionality. Blackcart aims to improve conversion rates by providing a flexible payment option, while Détaxer avec SolPay focuses on simplifying VAT refund processing for French merchants dealing with international sales. SolPay's description emphasizes its integration with Shopify and its ability to automatically generate QR codes and fill out détaxe forms. Potential SolPay users need to contact SolPay to become a partner, a prerequisite absent for Blackcart, based on available information. While both apps boast a perfect 5/5 rating, Détaxer avec SolPay has significantly more reviews (9) than Blackcart (1), suggesting a larger user base and possibly a longer track record. However, both low review counts indicate they may be newer or niche apps.

Our Verdict
The choice between Blackcart ‑ Try Before You Buy and Détaxer avec SolPay is straightforward based on business needs. If you are a French merchant selling to international customers and need a solution for managing VAT refunds, Détaxer avec SolPay is the clear choice. Its features are specifically designed for this purpose.
On the other hand, if you're looking to offer customers a 'try before you buy' option to increase sales and conversion rates, Blackcart might be a viable option. However, given the limited information available and the extremely low number of reviews, more research and potentially contacting the developer are recommended before committing to Blackcart. If your business is not based in France or does not handle VAT refunds for international clients, Détaxer avec SolPay is irrelevant.
