Our Verdict
For merchants specifically seeking to offer a 'try before you buy' option, Blackcart may be the relevant choice, but the low number of reviews necessitates careful evaluation and potentially contacting the developer directly for more information. However, for the vast majority of Shopify merchants looking to optimize their checkout process by intelligently managing payment gateway options, ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods emerges as the stronger contender due to its demonstrated functionality, positive user feedback (92 reviews), and versatile rule-based system. ETP allows greater control and personalization of the payment options presented to each customer.
Unless 'try before you buy' is absolutely critical, the risk associated with adopting an app that has only one review is higher. A merchant should likely favor ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods due to its substantial amount of users and more widely understood functionality.
