Blanka Makeup Beauty Cosmetics vs Nivoda Connectfor Shopify (2026)
Blanka Makeup Beauty Cosmetics and Nivoda Connect are Shopify apps in the Sourcing options and Wholesale categories, but cater to distinctly different niches. Blanka focuses on enabling merchants to quickly launch private label beauty, cosmetic, and skincare lines with dropshipping and no minimum order quantities (MOQs). Its strength lies in democratizing access to the beauty industry, allowing anyone to start a branded line with minimal upfront investment and operational complexity. The US-made, cruelty-free aspect is a compelling selling point, and its high volume of reviews suggest a strong user base. Nivoda Connect, on the other hand, is specifically designed for jewelers looking to expand their online offerings. Its core value proposition is providing access to a vast global inventory of natural and lab-grown diamonds and gemstones, along with a customizable ring design studio. While it has a perfect rating, its relatively low number of reviews suggests it's a newer app or has a smaller, more specialized user base. Nivoda offers features like dynamic pricing markup and customizable filters to give merchants greater control over their margins and customer experience, which is key in the high-value jewelry market. The strength of the Nivoda platform is in inventory depth and jewelry specific features, rather than ease of getting started with no experience.

Our Verdict
For merchants aspiring to launch a beauty or cosmetic line quickly and easily without handling inventory, Blanka Makeup Beauty Cosmetics is the clear choice. Its dropshipping model, no MOQ policy, and user-friendly platform make it ideal for beginners or those seeking a low-risk entry into the beauty market. The higher number of reviews also provides some reassurance about its reliability and user satisfaction.
However, for established jewelers looking to expand their diamond and gemstone inventory and offer customizable ring designs, Nivoda Connect is the superior solution. Its access to a global marketplace, combined with dynamic pricing and filter customization, provides the tools needed to compete in the competitive jewelry market. The perfect rating, albeit from fewer users, suggests high satisfaction among its target audience. Note that the implementation and learning curve for Nivoda may be higher.
Common Questions
What are the main differences in business models?
Blanka uses a dropshipping model, meaning you don't hold any inventory. You sell products that are manufactured and shipped directly to your customers. Nivoda provides a platform to access and sell diamonds and gemstones from their global inventory network, allowing you to expand your product offerings without holding inventory.
Which app is easier to use for beginners?
Blanka appears to be easier for beginners, boasting a 'less than 5 minutes' setup time. Nivoda, which requires integration with their platform and understanding of diamond pricing and inventory management, likely has a steeper learning curve.
Which app provides more customization options?
Nivoda offers more customization for experienced jewelers, providing options to customize filters, add markups based on carat weight or price, and allow customers to build their rings with unique designs. Blanka focuses on branding customization of existing beauty products.
Which app is more suited for a merchant with no existing inventory?
Both apps are suitable for merchants with no existing inventory, as they both offer a way to sell products without holding any stock. However, Blanka is more suitable for general consumer sales and private labeling, while Nivoda is specific to diamonds and jewellery.
How do the support offerings compare?
Blanka emphasizes 'Priority Chat & Email Support' suggesting fast responses. Nivoda doesn't explicitly detail its support offerings in the provided description, but it's reasonable to assume they offer support as well, given the complexity of integrating with their platform.
