Blaze Country Redirect vs MO: Country Blocker & IP Blockfor Shopify (2026)
Blaze Country Redirect and MO: Country Blocker & IP Block are both Shopify geolocation apps, but they serve fundamentally different purposes. Blaze Country Redirect focuses on enhancing the customer experience through localization, automatically redirecting users to the correct market based on their location, language, and currency. It provides features like customizable popups, a store switcher, and seamless integration with Shopify Markets. Its strength lies in improving international sales by ensuring customers see the right product, pricing, and language from the start. MO: Country Blocker & IP Block, on the other hand, prioritizes security and access control. It's designed to protect the store by blocking malicious IPs, countries, bots, and VPN/proxy users. While it also offers country redirection, this feature appears secondary to its primary function of restricting access from unwanted visitors and protecting store assets through content action blocking. The difference in average rating is noticeable, though the number of reviews is almost the same between them, which suggests possible problems related to MO's blocking algorithm. Therefore, the choice between the two depends heavily on the merchant's priorities. One aims to improve the shopping experience, and the other secures the store and its content.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on expanding internationally and providing a seamless localized experience for their customers across multiple Shopify Markets, Blaze Country Redirect is the clear choice. The app's strengths lie in its automatic redirection capabilities, customizable popups, and dedicated support team for setup. However, for merchants experiencing a high volume of fraudulent orders, bot traffic, or concerned about content theft, MO: Country Blocker & IP Block is the better option. Its core functionality of blocking malicious IPs, countries, and VPN/proxy users provides a crucial layer of security. If security is not the top priority, then Blaze's higher rating and localization features make it a more attractive choice.

Can both apps be used simultaneously?
While technically possible, using both apps simultaneously might lead to conflicts or redundancy. For instance, both apps have redirection features. It's generally recommended to choose the app that best aligns with the store's primary need (localization vs. security).
Which app offers better customer support?
