Blaze Country Redirect vs Traffic Policefor Shopify (2026)
Blaze Country Redirect and Traffic Police are both Shopify apps leveraging geolocation, but they cater to distinct merchant needs. Blaze Country Redirect focuses primarily on enhancing the shopping experience by automatically redirecting customers to localized versions of a store based on their geographic location. Its strength lies in facilitating a seamless, personalized shopping journey through language, currency, and domain adaptations. Traffic Police, on the other hand, emphasizes security and control by providing tools to block malicious traffic based on location and offer basic geo-redirect functionality as an added feature. The core difference lies in their primary function. Blaze Country Redirect is a localization tool designed to optimize international sales. Traffic Police is a security tool aimed at protecting a store from unwanted traffic, with geo-redirection being a secondary feature. While both apps have received positive user reviews, their ideal users are merchants prioritizing either international customer experience (Blaze) or website security (Traffic Police). The number of reviews is slightly different, with Blaze having a minimal edge, but this is not statistically significant based on the data provided.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on optimizing their online store for international customers and ensuring a seamless experience through localization, Blaze Country Redirect is the better choice. Its compatibility with Shopify Markets and customizable popup functionality make it a strong contender for expanding into new regions. However, if a merchant's primary concern is protecting their store from malicious traffic, bots, or unwanted visitors from specific regions, Traffic Police is the more suitable option. Its security-focused features and IP logging provide a robust defense against potential threats.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's priorities. If international expansion and customer experience are paramount, Blaze Country Redirect is recommended. If security and traffic control are the main concerns, Traffic Police is the stronger choice. Merchants can consider using both if their needs encompass both localization and security, but this would depend on budget and integration compatibility.
