Blockly Fraud Filter vs Mipler — Advanced Reportsfor Shopify (2026)
Blockly Fraud Filter and Mipler — Advanced Reports are both Shopify apps listed under the 'Operations' category, each with a perfect 5/5 rating. However, they cater to drastically different needs. Blockly Fraud Filter focuses on risk mitigation, specifically reducing chargebacks by allowing merchants to define rules that identify and potentially block fraudulent orders. Its value proposition lies in adding an extra layer of security and control over order processing, appealing to merchants concerned about fraud prevention. Mipler, on the other hand, is an advanced reporting tool. It provides merchants with the ability to build custom reports and dashboards using various data points from their store, including metafields and tags, to analyze performance across sales, finance, customers, and inventory. Mipler's key strengths are its extensive reporting capabilities, AI assistance for report creation, and the ability to share reports securely. While Blockly's feature set appears simpler and more focused on a single problem, Mipler offers a wider range of features aimed at providing in-depth business intelligence. The sheer difference in the number of reviews also suggests a significant difference in user adoption, with Mipler being a much more established app. The mention of importing rules from 'Fraud Filter' in Blockly’s description hints at it being a newer entrant potentially offering an alternative to an existing solution.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily concerned with mitigating fraud and reducing chargebacks, Blockly Fraud Filter is the more suitable choice, provided they are comfortable with a relatively new app with limited reviews. Its rule-based system allows for targeted intervention against suspicious orders. However, merchants seeking a comprehensive solution for analyzing their store's performance and gaining data-driven insights should opt for Mipler — Advanced Reports. Mipler's extensive reporting capabilities, AI assistance, and large user base make it a more robust solution for business intelligence. The risk with Blockly is the limited social proof at the time of analysis; the very low number of reviews may indicate a less reliable or maintained product in the long term.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the description, Blockly Fraud Filter likely has a simpler setup due to its focused feature set and rule-based interface. Mipler, with its advanced reporting capabilities and customization options, may require a steeper learning curve.
Can I use both apps at the same time?
Yes, since they address different needs, merchants can use both apps concurrently. Blockly can handle fraud prevention, while Mipler provides analytics and reporting.
Which app is better for a small, new Shopify store?
A small, new store with limited resources might benefit more from Blockly Fraud Filter to prevent early losses from fraudulent orders. However, they should closely monitor the app's development and support due to the low review count. Mipler might be overkill at the early stages, but could prove valuable as the store grows and data volume increases.
Does Mipler offer fraud detection features similar to Blockly?
