Blocky Fraud Filter IP Blocker vs Traffic Policefor Shopify (2026)
Blocky Fraud Filter IP Blocker and Traffic Police both aim to help Shopify merchants control website traffic based on geolocation and other criteria. Blocky, with its established presence and significantly higher review count (151 reviews vs. Traffic Police's 8), appears to be a more mature product with a broader feature set. It focuses on fraud prevention and bot blocking, offering tools to block email addresses, phone numbers, and VPN/Proxy connections. Traffic Police, on the other hand, while boasting a perfect 5-star rating, is newer and emphasizes regional blocking at the Country, State, or City level, along with content protection features like image anti-theft. The key differentiator lies in their breadth of focus. Blocky targets broader fraud prevention and bot management, while Traffic Police specializes in granular geolocation-based traffic control and content protection. Blocky also explicitly mentions visitor analytics, providing insights into IP addresses, browser types, and origin countries. Traffic Police highlights IP Logs for request analysis. Both offer geolocation-based redirection, but Blocky emphasizes its usefulness during rush sales like Valentine's or St. Patrick's Day, suggesting a focus on managing increased traffic and potential abuse during peak periods. Finally, Traffic Police includes a Cookie bar for GDPR compliance which Blocky does not mention.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with large-scale fraud prevention and bot management, especially during peak sales periods, Blocky Fraud Filter IP Blocker is the more established and comprehensive option. The higher review count suggests a proven track record and broader user base. However, for businesses requiring fine-grained control over regional access, wanting content protection or needing GDPR compliance features like a Cookie bar, Traffic Police offers the necessary granularity and supplementary features. The slightly higher rating (although based on fewer reviews) hints at a potentially simpler or more focused user experience for these specific use cases. Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific security priorities and geographic focus.
