Blocky vs Instant Section & Page Builderfor Shopify (2026)
Blocky and Instant Section & Page Builder both aim to empower Shopify merchants with greater store design control, but they cater to distinct user needs and technical skill levels. Blocky positions itself as a user-friendly solution for merchants seeking simple theme section customization without coding. Its core strength lies in its prebuilt blocks and ease of use, targeting beginners who need a quick and accessible way to enhance their existing theme. Blocky focuses primarily on section-level customization, offering a focused, no-code editing experience. Instant Section & Page Builder, on the other hand, is a comprehensive all-in-one solution designed for merchants seeking full store design control and advanced optimization tools. Its strength lies in its extensive template library, A/B testing capabilities, and integrations for advanced features such as subscriptions and bundles. Targeting merchants who are serious about conversion rate optimization (CRO) and those seeking an alternative to established page builders like Shogun, PageFly, and Gempages, Instant Section & Page Builder offers a powerful platform to build entire stores, landing pages, and sections, with the option to import designs from Figma. It goes beyond simple section customization and encompasses full page design, cart enhancements, and advanced product page features.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing simplicity and ease of use for basic theme section enhancements, Blocky may be a suitable option. Its no-code interface and prebuilt blocks offer a quick way to customize their store. However, the extremely low review count suggests a high level of uncertainty in its quality. On the other hand, Instant Section & Page Builder is the clear choice for merchants seeking a comprehensive solution for building and optimizing their entire store. With its extensive template library, A/B testing capabilities, and advanced features, it provides the tools needed to create a high-converting store. The high rating and significant number of reviews further validate its effectiveness.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for a beginner?
Blocky is designed for simplicity and is much easier for a beginner with its simple section customization, while Instant Section & Page Builder has a steeper learning curve due to its extensive features.
Which app is better for A/B testing?
Instant Section & Page Builder has built-in A/B testing capabilities, allowing merchants to test different page variations and optimize for conversions. Blocky does not offer A/B testing.
Which app is better for creating custom landing pages?

Can both apps be used with any Shopify 2.0 theme?
Blocky explicitly states that it works with any Shopify 2.0 theme. Instant Section & Page Builder does not explicitly mention Shopify 2.0 theme compatibility, but with its all-in-one builder capabilities, it is likely to be compatible but this may be a point to verify before purchase.
Which app is more cost-effective?
Without pricing information, it is impossible to determine which app is more cost-effective.
