Blox: Fraud Filter & Blacklist vs Deliverlitics: Stop Scammersfor Shopify (2026)
Blox: Fraud Filter & Blacklist and Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers are both fraud prevention apps for Shopify, boasting perfect 5/5 ratings. However, they differ significantly in their approach and target audience. Blox leverages a community-powered blocklist, where fraudulent activity identified on one store automatically flags potentially risky customers on others. This collective defense mechanism aims to protect merchants from known fraudsters and those using multiple accounts. In contrast, Deliverlitics focuses on preventing delivery scams using AI to analyze merchant-side data, such as returns and support messages, to identify patterns indicative of fraudulent behavior specific to delivery issues. The core difference lies in their data sources and fraud focus. Blox is externally focused, relying on a shared database of known offenders, making it potentially easier to set up and benefit from immediately. Deliverlitics, on the other hand, is internally focused, requiring data from your store to train its AI and detect delivery-related scams. Deliverlitics emphasizes automation and customizing responses, which is attractive to established stores who have already seen delivery-related fraud. This makes them suited for different Shopify merchants with varying needs and levels of technical expertise.

Our Verdict
For new Shopify stores or those seeking simple, immediate fraud protection without a lot of internal data analysis, Blox: Fraud Filter & Blacklist may be a good starting point due to its community-driven blocklist. However, it relies on the actions of other merchants, making its effectiveness dependent on the size and activity of the Blox community. Stores struggling specifically with delivery scams, dealing with high return rates, or friendly fraud claims should strongly consider Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers. Its AI-powered approach, which learns from your store's unique data, is well-suited to tackling this particular type of fraud.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific needs and the type of fraud they are experiencing most frequently. The low number of reviews for both apps suggests caution and further research before committing to either one is advised. Both apps are likely to have evolved significantly by 2026.
Common Questions
How effective is a community-based blocklist like Blox's compared to AI analysis like Deliverlitics's?
A community-based blocklist immediately protects against known fraudsters reported by other stores, offering quick value. However, it may miss novel fraud techniques. AI analysis adapts to a specific store's data, potentially catching sophisticated scams but requiring time to learn patterns and is therefore less effective out-of-the-box.
Is Deliverlitics only useful if I'm already experiencing delivery scams?
While Deliverlitics is designed to stop delivery scams, implementing it proactively can help identify and prevent potential issues before they escalate. The 'Identify and protect trusted customers' feature is also useful regardless of current scam levels.
What happens if Blox flags a legitimate customer as fraudulent?
Blox flags customers for review, not automatic blocking. This allows merchants to manually assess the flagged customer before taking action, mitigating the risk of false positives. Merchants retain control over blocking decisions.
How much data does Deliverlitics need to train its AI effectively?
The more data Deliverlitics has access to (returns, refunds, support tickets, etc.), the better it can identify patterns and accurately flag risky orders. Specific data requirements are not listed but the app likely has onboarding best practices.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Blox appears to have a simpler setup, leveraging a pre-existing community blocklist. Deliverlitics requires data input and AI training, suggesting a potentially longer and more complex setup process.
