BLP Referral Program Affiliate vs SupaEasy: AI Functions creatorfor Shopify (2026)
BLP Referral Program Affiliate and SupaEasy: AI Functions creator, while both found within the 'Discounts' category on Shopify, serve drastically different purposes and target different merchant needs. BLP focuses on growth via customer advocacy, offering a comprehensive referral and affiliate marketing solution. It emphasizes ease of use with no success fees, quick setup, and features like referral links/codes, customizable branding, and automated email notifications via Klaviyo integration. This app aims to simplify the creation and management of referral and affiliate programs, targeting merchants looking to leverage word-of-mouth marketing. SupaEasy, on the other hand, addresses the technical challenge of migrating and creating Shopify Functions, particularly in light of script deprecation. It caters to merchants, especially those on Shopify Plus initially using script editor, who require advanced customization of discounts, payments, delivery, and validation processes, without necessarily possessing coding skills. The core difference lies in their value propositions. BLP offers a turn-key solution for building referral and affiliate programs, emphasizing marketing and customer acquisition. SupaEasy provides a powerful tool for technical customization and control over the checkout experience, focusing on operational efficiency and adapting to Shopify's evolving platform. SupaEasy leverages AI to bridge the skill gap, making complex function creation accessible to a wider range of merchants. While both can impact discounts, BLP does so through incentivized customer action, while SupaEasy directly modifies discount functionality at the code level.
