Bluesky Feed vs Brand It! Calendarfor Shopify (2026)
Bluesky Feed and Brand It! Calendar both fall under the 'Content - Other' category on Shopify, but they address vastly different needs. Bluesky Feed aims to embed content from the Bluesky social media platform onto a Shopify store. It caters to merchants heavily invested in building a community and brand presence on Bluesky and who want to seamlessly integrate that content into their online store, focusing on content filtering through search terms. However, its current lack of reviews and zero rating are significant red flags. Brand It! Calendar, on the other hand, focuses on displaying calendar information directly on the storefront, integrating with major calendar providers like Google, Outlook, and Apple. Its target audience is merchants who need to showcase events, business hours, schedules, or promotional campaigns. With a perfect 5/5 rating and 6 reviews, it appears to be a well-received solution for businesses needing to present time-sensitive information in a visually appealing and integrated manner. The inclusion of multiple views and on-brand styling allows for a customized and informative calendar presence.

Our Verdict
For the majority of Shopify merchants in 2026, Brand It! Calendar is the stronger choice due to its proven track record (indicated by the perfect rating and reviews), its versatility in integrating with popular calendar platforms, and its broad applicability for various businesses needing to display schedules or events. The lack of reviews and the untested nature of Bluesky Feed make it a riskier proposition.
However, if a merchant is heavily invested in the Bluesky platform and actively cultivating a strong community there, and they absolutely require a way to directly integrate their Bluesky feed onto their website, Bluesky Feed might be worth exploring *despite* the lack of social proof. Given the risk, the merchant should closely monitor the app's performance and be prepared to switch to an alternative if issues arise.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Brand It! Calendar likely offers a more straightforward setup, given its existing integrations with widely used calendar platforms and its App-Block design. Bluesky Feed may require more customization within the theme editor.
Does Bluesky Feed automatically update with new posts?
The description implies a dynamic feed, but it doesn't explicitly state if it's live. It likely requires some form of polling or refresh to display new posts. Brand It! Calendar offers live sync with popular calendars.
Can I customize the look and feel of both apps?
Both apps offer customization. Bluesky Feed allows control over content through search conditions. Brand It! Calendar emphasizes on-brand styling with customizable colors, fonts, and layouts.
Which app is better for displaying business hours?
Brand It! Calendar is explicitly designed to display business hours, while Bluesky Feed is not relevant for this purpose.
If I don't use Bluesky, is Bluesky Feed still useful?
No. Bluesky Feed is solely for embedding content from the Bluesky platform. If you don't use Bluesky, it has no functionality for you.
