BM: Country blocker IP blocker vs EB: Fraud Filter, Bot Blockerfor Shopify (2026)
Both "BM: Country blocker IP blocker" and "EB: Fraud Filter, Bot Blocker" aim to help Shopify merchants prevent unwanted visitors and fraudulent activities on their stores. Both apps offer blocking capabilities based on email/phone/name, country/city/IP, and protection against bots, VPNs, and crawlers. However, "BM: Country blocker IP blocker" positions itself as a more comprehensive prevention solution with additional features like content protection (disabling right-click and copy-paste) and automated order cancellation/refunds. "EB: Fraud Filter, Bot Blocker" emphasizes ease of use and a focus on enhancing site security and performance. The key differentiator is the feature-set; BM offers features that EB doesn't have. "BM: Country blocker IP blocker" seems to target merchants seeking robust, all-encompassing security and fraud prevention, while "EB: Fraud Filter, Bot Blocker" appeals to merchants prioritizing ease of implementation and essential fraud filtering capabilities. The significantly higher number of reviews for BM suggests a broader adoption or longer presence in the Shopify app store, though this doesn't necessarily mean it is the better choice. While both apps offer geolocation redirection, their primary focus is on blocking and filtering unwanted traffic to improve the security and performance of the store. BM stands out for its inclusion of features that enable merchants to block referrers, ISPs, and ASNs, capabilities that are valuable for merchants to control traffic sources from particular entities. EB, on the other hand, prioritizes a user-friendly experience. Thus, merchants may need to prioritize features over simplicity and vice versa.
