BM: Country blocker IP blocker vs Fraud Judge Fraud Preventionfor Shopify (2026)
BM: Country Blocker IP Blocker and Fraud Judge Fraud Prevention both aim to protect Shopify stores from fraudulent activity, but they adopt distinctly different approaches. BM focuses on preventing unwanted visitors from even accessing the store through IP, country, and bot blocking. It's a broad-spectrum preventative measure designed to limit exposure to potential threats by controlling website access. Fraud Judge, conversely, focuses on analyzing orders *after* they are placed. It uses customizable rules, ID and address verification, and black/whitelists to flag and manage risky transactions, helping to reduce chargebacks and inventory losses. BM targets merchants concerned about scraping, bot traffic, and location-based fraud attempts, offering features like content protection and geolocation redirects. Its auto-cancel order and refund functionality complements its preventative approach. Fraud Judge aims at merchants dealing with chargeback issues and order-related fraud, emphasizing order verification and customer authentication through identity and address checks. The 'prove the ID' feature and age checks directly address identity-related fraud. The customizable rules are a significant advantage for merchants requiring nuanced fraud detection. The user review count is also a factor. BM has significantly more reviews. While Fraud Judge has a perfect rating, its low number of reviews limits confidence in that number.
