Common Questions
Can BM: Country blocker IP blocker be used to automatically direct customers to a specific Shopify Market based on their location?
While BM: Country blocker IP blocker offers geolocation redirect, its primary function is blocking unwanted traffic. It's not optimized for seamlessly integrating with Shopify Markets in the same way Geolocation Orbe is. While you could theoretically redirect based on country, it might be less user-friendly and lack the smooth integration with Shopify Markets.
Does Geolocation Orbe offer any fraud prevention features?
Geolocation Orbe focuses on enhancing the customer experience through personalization. It does not offer specific fraud prevention features like bot blocking or IP blocking, which are central to BM: Country blocker IP blocker.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Geolocation Orbe likely offers a smoother initial setup due to its automatic integration with Shopify Markets. BM: Country blocker IP blocker requires more configuration to set up blocking rules and whitelists, which may take more time and effort. The number of reviews leans toward Geolocation Orbe being easier to configure as well, however this is only speculation.
If I only sell within my own country, do I need either of these apps?
If you only operate within a single country, Geolocation Orbe offers little to no value. BM: Country blocker IP blocker could still be useful to prevent bots and other unwanted traffic, as these can originate from anywhere.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but carefully. BM: Country blocker IP blocker could inadvertently block legitimate customers that Geolocation Orbe is trying to redirect. If using both, ensure you configure BM: Country blocker IP blocker to not interfere with Geolocation Orbe's redirection logic. Careful testing and monitoring would be necessary.
