BOLD Memberships App vs Loyoly ‑ Loyalty and Referralfor Shopify (2026)
BOLD Memberships App and Loyoly - Loyalty and Referral both aim to enhance customer loyalty, but they approach it from fundamentally different angles. BOLD Memberships focuses on creating exclusive membership experiences, controlling access to content and products based on membership tiers, and managing recurring billing directly. This is ideal for businesses offering exclusive content, products, or services that warrant a subscription model. Loyoly, on the other hand, centers around gamified loyalty and referral programs, encouraging customer engagement through a variety of 'missions' beyond simple purchases, such as UGC creation and social sharing. The primary difference lies in their core value proposition. BOLD Memberships seeks to build customer loyalty by offering exclusive access and premium experiences through a subscription model, enabling recurring revenue. Loyoly aims to build loyalty through gamification and rewarding various forms of customer engagement, focusing on brand advocacy and user-generated content. While both apps fall under the 'Customer Loyalty' and 'Loyalty and Rewards' Shopify categories, BOLD Memberships targets businesses seeking to implement a membership model, while Loyoly targets businesses looking to create a broad-based loyalty program with diverse engagement options.

Our Verdict
Choosing between BOLD Memberships App and Loyoly depends heavily on the business model. If the merchant's goal is to gate content, products, or services behind a recurring subscription, BOLD Memberships is the clear choice. The ability to control access to various aspects of the store based on membership levels is invaluable for creating a premium, exclusive experience.
However, if the merchant aims to foster broader customer loyalty and engagement through a diverse range of activities, including referrals and user-generated content, Loyoly is the superior option. Its gamified approach and pre-built missions offer a compelling way to incentivize customer participation and build brand advocacy. While BOLD offers exclusivity, Loyoly champions inclusivity and broad-based engagement.
