BON Loyalty Rewards Program vs COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verifyfor Shopify (2026)
BON Loyalty Rewards Program and COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify are Shopify apps addressing fundamentally different needs. BON Loyalty focuses on customer retention and increasing lifetime value through loyalty programs, VIP tiers, and referrals. It aims to build long-term relationships and incentivize repeat purchases. COD King, conversely, directly targets fraud prevention and cost reduction associated with Cash on Delivery (COD) orders. It uses OTP verification, partial payments, and COD fees to minimize RTO/RTS (Return to Origin/Return to Sender) losses. BON Loyalty offers a broad suite of features to manage comprehensive loyalty programs, catering to both online and in-store customers, including B2B scenarios. Its strength lies in its customization and channel integration, aiming to embed loyalty across the entire customer journey. COD King's strength is its focused approach to solving the specific problem of COD order fraud, especially relevant in regions like India and Egypt. It provides targeted tools for risk management at the checkout and order fulfillment stages. While both apps share the 'Notifications' category, their applications are vastly different: BON uses notifications to engage loyalty program members, while COD King uses them to verify orders and communicate payment options.

Our Verdict
The choice between BON Loyalty Rewards Program and COD King depends entirely on the merchant's priorities. If the primary goal is to cultivate long-term customer relationships, increase repeat purchases, and implement a comprehensive loyalty program with VIP tiers and referral incentives, BON Loyalty is the clear choice. Its broad feature set and customization options cater to merchants of all sizes aiming to enhance customer lifetime value.
However, if the merchant's biggest challenge is high RTO rates and losses associated with Cash on Delivery orders, particularly in regions like India and Egypt, COD King is the superior solution. Its OTP verification, upfront payment options, and COD fee features are specifically designed to combat COD fraud and improve conversion rates for prepaid orders. A merchant could even use both, BON Loyalty to build relationships with existing customers and COD King to prevent losses from new, potentially unserious, COD orders.
