Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants heavily involved with eBay selling and needing automated, category-aware eBay item-specific fields, Bonify Custom Fields is the clear choice. Its focus on complex field groups and external marketplace syncing provides unique value. However, for merchants primarily focused on managing metafields across a wide range of Shopify resources (products, collections, customers, etc.) and prioritizing ease of use, data backups, and a clear change history, Webify Metafields Editor is likely a better fit. Webify prioritizes broad functionality and data safety, making it a more versatile option for general metafield management needs.
