Our Verdict
For merchants primarily selling through Google Shopping and highly sensitive to competitor pricing, Boostmyshop App presents a viable option for dynamic pricing automation. However, the extremely low number of reviews raises concerns about its reliability and support compared to Rockit Discounts & Sales.
Rockit Discounts & Sales App is the stronger recommendation for most Shopify merchants in 2026 due to its vastly higher review count (suggesting greater reliability and established usage), its comprehensive sales management features (including scheduling and discount displays), and its focus on driving sales volume. Its features are more versatile for general eCommerce and would likely provide more immediate impact and control over sales campaigns, despite not directly addressing competitor pricing. If competitor intelligence is truly critical and Google Shopping is central to your strategy, evaluate Boostmyshop further *after* thorough due diligence.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the review count, Rockit Discounts & Sales App likely has more readily available documentation and community support, suggesting an easier initial setup and ongoing usability. However, without direct user feedback or trial periods, the relative ease of use is difficult to definitively determine.
Can both apps be used together?
Yes, theoretically. Boostmyshop can handle competitor-based dynamic pricing, while Rockit Discounts & Sales can manage sales and promotions on top of those price changes. However, careful configuration would be required to avoid conflicting price adjustments and unintended margin erosion. Merchants would need a good understanding of the impact of both apps.
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV)?
Rockit Discounts & Sales is better suited for increasing AOV through strategies like product bundle discounts, sitewide sales, and line item discounts. These are all focused on encouraging customers to spend more per order during a specific sales campaign. Boostmyshop's pricing adjustments focus on driving the initial purchase through more competitive pricing but not directly on AOV.
Does either app offer reporting on sales performance or competitor activity?
Boostmyshop explicitly mentions 'easy-to-understand KPIs' for competitive intelligence. Rockit Discounts & Sales does not explicitly mention sales performance reporting in its description but likely provides some basic analytics related to discount usage and sales generated during scheduled campaigns.
Which app offers better long-term pricing strategy assistance?
Boostmyshop's model lends itself to a more continuous pricing strategy informed by competitor analysis, suggesting a longer-term approach. Rockit Discounts & Sales is typically used for short to medium-term sales campaigns. It's more focused on immediate boosts in sales and less on sustained strategic pricing over the long term.
