BoostPop – Pop Ups & Banners vs COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verifyfor Shopify (2026)
BoostPop – Pop Ups & Banners and COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify are both Shopify apps designed to enhance the customer experience and ultimately increase revenue, but they approach this goal from drastically different angles. BoostPop focuses on front-end marketing, using pop-ups, announcement bars, gamification (Wheel of Fortune), and product recommendations to engage visitors and drive conversions. It emphasizes email and SMS signup, discount offers, and urgency creation to influence purchase decisions. COD King, on the other hand, targets back-end operational efficiency, aiming to reduce Return to Origin (RTO) and Return to Sender (RTS) rates associated with Cash on Delivery (COD) orders. It focuses on verifying order intent, securing commitment through partial payments, and incentivizing prepaid orders, primarily addressing issues prevalent in regions where COD is a dominant payment method.

Our Verdict
The choice between BoostPop and COD King depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If the primary goal is to improve on-site conversion rates through engaging marketing tactics and grow an email/SMS subscriber list, BoostPop is the better choice. Its features like Wheel of Fortune and product recommendations are designed to directly impact customer behavior and sales. However, if the merchant faces significant issues with COD orders, high RTO rates, and fake orders, particularly in regions like India or Egypt, then COD King is the clear winner. Its focus on verification and upfront payments directly addresses these pain points, potentially saving significant money and resources.
