Booxi: Appointment Scheduling vs LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Productsfor Shopify (2026)
Booxi: Appointment Scheduling and LinkIT ‑ Sell Digital Products, while both earning 5-star ratings, cater to drastically different needs within the Shopify ecosystem. Booxi targets retailers looking to manage appointments (both in-store and virtual) and events, positioning itself as a scalable solution for businesses ranging from single stores to large global operations. Its strength lies in integrating booking widgets, managing consultations, handling group event bookings, and automating communications. LinkIT, on the other hand, focuses on simplifying the sale of digital products by allowing merchants to link to content hosted on popular platforms like Google Drive, YouTube, and Dropbox. The core difference lies in their value proposition: Booxi enhances customer experience and streamlines operations through appointment and event management, while LinkIT offers an easy way to monetize digital assets. Booxi is geared towards service-oriented businesses, while LinkIT caters to creators, educators, and businesses selling digital products like courses, videos, or PDFs. The shared category, 'Digital goods and services - Other,' doesn't fully reflect the contrast, as Booxi primarily manages *service* delivery through scheduling tools, while LinkIT facilitates *digital product* delivery via links.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Booxi and LinkIT depends entirely on your business needs. If you offer services requiring appointment scheduling – such as consultations, personal shopping, or workshops – and need a system to manage those bookings, Booxi is the clear choice. Its scalability makes it suitable for businesses of all sizes.
Conversely, if your primary goal is to sell digital products that are already hosted on platforms like Google Drive or YouTube, LinkIT provides a simple and efficient solution. Its ease of use and compatibility with existing tools make it ideal for quickly setting up a digital storefront. While both apps have high ratings, the low review count for both apps should also be considered; larger review counts can provide more insight. Ultimately, the right app is the one that directly addresses your core business model: service appointments or digital product sales.
