BorderBuddy Customs ~Ship DDP vs Lietuvos Paštasfor Shopify (2026)
BorderBuddy Customs ~Ship DDP and Lietuvos Paštas are both shipping solutions on the Shopify app store, but they cater to vastly different needs and markets. BorderBuddy focuses exclusively on simplifying shipments to Canada, offering Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) options with all duties and taxes calculated upfront. This eliminates surprise costs for Canadian customers, potentially increasing conversion rates for merchants targeting that market. Lietuvos Paštas, on the other hand, centers around providing comprehensive postal services specifically for Lithuania, offering flexible delivery options within the country. The primary difference lies in their geographical focus and the complexity of their service. BorderBuddy streamlines cross-border shipping complexities to a single country. Lietuvos Paštas focuses on domestic shipments within Lithuania, likely supporting a wider range of package sizes and delivery methods beyond the limited DDP service of BorderBuddy. Another key difference is the current state of user feedback. BorderBuddy boasts a perfect 5/5 rating based on 14 reviews, indicating strong initial satisfaction among its users. Lietuvos Paštas currently has no reviews and a rating of 0/5, making it difficult to assess its real-world performance.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily focused on expanding their sales to Canada and eliminating customs-related friction, BorderBuddy Customs ~Ship DDP appears to be the more suitable option. Its DDP functionality and explicit CARM compliance offer a distinct advantage in the Canadian market. The positive user feedback further supports its reliability.
However, if a merchant's primary focus is on serving the Lithuanian market with comprehensive local shipping options, including home delivery, post offices, and parcel terminals, Lietuvos Paštas is the better choice – assuming they can secure the required contract with Lietuvos Paštas. However, due to the lack of reviews and the 0/5 rating, it is difficult to gauge the app's actual usability and performance. Merchants should proceed with caution and thoroughly test the app before fully relying on it for their shipping needs.
