BorderBuddy Customs ~Ship DDP vs Pakkeshopperfor Shopify (2026)
BorderBuddy Customs ~Ship DDP and Pakkeshopper are both highly rated (5/5) Shopify apps, but cater to drastically different markets. BorderBuddy focuses on streamlining shipping *to* Canada, offering Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) services to ensure transparent pricing and compliance with Canadian customs regulations, particularly CARM. It targets merchants seeking to expand into the Canadian market and prioritize a hassle-free experience for their Canadian customers. Pakkeshopper, conversely, concentrates on the Danish shipping market, aggregating multiple local carriers (GLS, PostNord, DAO, Bring) to provide diverse shipping options for customers *within* Denmark. It aims to optimize domestic shipping logistics and provide customers with choice. The apps are distinguished by their geographic focus, target market (Canadian exports vs. Danish domestic), and the types of problems they solve (customs compliance vs. carrier aggregation).

Our Verdict
The choice between BorderBuddy Customs ~Ship DDP and Pakkeshopper is straightforward and hinges on the merchant's target market. If you're a Shopify merchant seeking to sell to customers in Canada and want to handle duties, taxes, and customs clearance upfront, then BorderBuddy is the clear choice. Its DDP service and CARM compliance features are specifically designed for this purpose. Pakkeshopper, on the other hand, is tailored for merchants operating within the Danish market who want to offer a wider range of domestic shipping options to their Danish customers. If you're not shipping to or within Denmark, Pakkeshopper is irrelevant. The apps serve mutually exclusive markets, making the selection process relatively easy.
