BR Sales Terminal POS vs MS Barcode Labels & Generatorfor Shopify (2026)
BR Sales Terminal POS and MS Barcode Labels & Generator, while both categorized under 'Selling in person' and 'Retail' on Shopify, serve very different purposes. BR Sales Terminal POS aims to be a comprehensive Point of Sale (POS) system that replaces Shopify POS, allowing merchants to manage in-store sales, exchanges, refunds, and store credit issuance directly from their phone or browser. It focuses on payment processing and transaction management within a physical retail environment. In contrast, MS Barcode Labels & Generator is laser-focused on barcode and SKU generation, label design, and printing, catering to merchants who need to create and manage product labels efficiently. BR Sales Terminal POS emphasizes payment collection through various methods (Square Terminal, Stripe Readers, cash, etc.) and offers features for handling exchanges and refunds. MS Barcode Labels & Generator focuses on generating various barcode formats (GTINs, EANs, UPCs), designing custom labels, and integrating with Stocky for streamlined label printing. A major difference to note is the user review metrics. Our Verdict
For merchants needing a full-fledged Point of Sale system to manage in-store sales, exchanges, and refunds, BR Sales Terminal POS is the more relevant option. However, the lower rating and fewer reviews should prompt careful consideration and potentially further research. For merchants prioritizing efficient barcode and label creation, especially those already using Stocky, MS Barcode Labels & Generator is the clear choice. Its perfect rating and significantly higher number of reviews indicate a well-received and reliable app for label management. While both apps fall under 'Retail', their functions are distinctly different, catering to specific needs within the retail landscape.
