BR Stock Take: Count Inventory vs Finaloopfor Shopify (2026)
BR Stock Take: Count Inventory and Finaloop offer distinct solutions within the inventory management space for Shopify merchants. BR Stock Take is a dedicated inventory counting tool, focusing on providing a simple and efficient way to conduct stocktakes using barcode scanning or manual counting. Its strength lies in its multi-device support, barcode scanning capabilities, and reporting. It targets merchants who need to quickly and accurately count their inventory to update stock levels within Shopify. Finaloop, on the other hand, is a full-service accounting solution with integrated inventory management. It provides real-time financial reporting, inventory tracking (FIFO), and tax-ready financials supported by a team of expert accountants. The core difference lies in the scope of the solution. BR Stock Take is designed for focused inventory counts, while Finaloop is designed for comprehensive accounting and financial management. BR Stock Take appears to be geared toward hands-on merchants seeking a self-service inventory counting tool. Finaloop caters to merchants seeking a managed solution, where accounting and inventory management are outsourced to experts. Considering the ratings and review counts, Finaloop seems to have a stronger user base and more positive feedback, though it's crucial to recognize their fundamentally different offerings.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with the accuracy and efficiency of their inventory stocktakes, and who prefer a hands-on approach to inventory management, BR Stock Take: Count Inventory is the more suitable choice. Its focus on scanning, multi-device support, and stock valuation reports provide valuable tools for maintaining accurate stock levels within the Shopify environment. However, for merchants seeking a comprehensive accounting solution that includes inventory management and expert support, Finaloop is the better option. While the rating and review count give Finaloop a clear advantage in terms of popularity and perceived quality, its value proposition caters to a different need: a full-service accounting solution rather than a simple inventory counting tool. A merchant who wants to outsource their accounting should select Finaloop.
