Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with accurate and efficient physical inventory counts, BR Stock Take: Count Inventory is the better choice. It provides the necessary tools for barcode scanning, multi-device counting, and generating essential reports. Its simplicity and direct integration with Shopify make it a user-friendly option.
However, merchants seeking a more flexible and customizable solution for managing inventory data, creating operational workflows, and integrating with other systems should opt for SyncBase Airtable Instant Sync. The real-time sync with Airtable allows for a wide range of possibilities, especially with the option to engage the Studio team for custom development. While it might require more technical setup and Airtable proficiency, the potential benefits for complex operations are significant.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for a beginner?
BR Stock Take: Count Inventory is likely easier for beginners due to its focus on a single function: stocktaking. SyncBase requires familiarity with Airtable and data management concepts.
Which app is better for multi-location stores?
Both can handle multi-location stores. BR Stock Take mentions selecting locations to count by. SyncBase can connect data from multiple stores into one Airtable base.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but it may not be necessary. SyncBase could eliminate the need for BR Stock Take if you configure Airtable to manage all your inventory data and stocktaking workflows. However, if you primarily need a quick physical inventory solution and don't use Airtable, then the integration would add complexity unnecessarily.
Does BR Stock Take integrate with my accounting software?
The description mentions CSV export of reports. You can import those reports into accounting software. Direct integration is not mentioned in the description, so it's not guaranteed.
What kind of custom workflows can I create with SyncBase?
With SyncBase and Airtable, you could create custom PIM (Product Information Management), OMS (Order Management Systems), Purchase Order systems, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tools, custom reports, automations for low stock alerts, and more.
