Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on increasing the average order value through strategic upsells and promotions at the checkout, Brew: Checkout Upsell & Promos might be a suitable choice. However, the extremely low number of reviews is a significant risk. On the other hand, if the main goal is to provide a smoother, more personalized payment experience by tailoring payment options to different customer segments to reduce checkout friction, Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero is the better option. The significantly higher number of reviews suggests a more reliable and widely used solution.
Given the available data, Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero is the safer choice for most merchants due to its established user base and clear focus on optimizing the payment experience. Brew might be worth exploring only if aggressive upselling is a top priority and a merchant is willing to take the risk with a less-proven app.
