Brightpearl by Sage vs Bundly • Mix & Match Bundlesfor Shopify (2026)
Brightpearl by Sage and Bundly • Mix & Match Bundles, while both categorized under Inventory and Inventory Optimization on Shopify, cater to drastically different merchant needs. Brightpearl by Sage, with a 4.7/5 rating from 43 reviews, likely provides a broader enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for larger businesses needing comprehensive inventory management beyond just bundling. Its higher review count suggests a more established presence and wider adoption in the market, but the lower rating *may* suggest points of friction for some users. Bundly, scoring a perfect 5/5 from 38 reviews, is specifically designed for merchants looking to implement product bundling strategies to increase their average order value (AOV). Its focus is on creating flexible bundle options like Mix & Match, Build Your Own Box, and Kits without directly manipulating underlying product SKUs. Bundly provides a focused suite of features for creating and managing these bundle offerings, with built-in analytics and no need for discount codes, simplifying the customer experience. The app's targeted approach means smaller merchants or those focused on specific bundling strategies might find it more immediately useful and easier to implement than the potentially more complex Brightpearl. However, a key limitation is its incompatibility with Shopify POS and subscription apps, restricting its applicability for merchants relying on those services.

Our Verdict
For larger businesses requiring a full-fledged ERP system with advanced inventory management, Brightpearl by Sage is likely the more appropriate choice, assuming it covers the required range of features. Its broader functionality means it likely offers greater scalability and integration possibilities beyond just inventory and bundling.
However, for Shopify merchants primarily focused on increasing their average order value through strategic product bundling, and who do *not* rely on Shopify POS or subscription apps, Bundly • Mix & Match Bundles offers a simpler, more targeted solution. Its focus on ease of use and specific bundling features, coupled with its higher rating (though with a slightly smaller sample size), make it a compelling option for those looking to quickly implement and manage bundle offerings.
