B&S ‑ Add Custom Code vs Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPandafor Shopify (2026)
B&S ‑ Add Custom Code and Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPanda cater to vastly different needs within the Shopify ecosystem. B&S ‑ Add Custom Code positions itself as a tool for merchants to inject custom code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid) directly into their storefront without requiring extensive programming knowledge. Its strength lies in its ability to facilitate site verification, integrate analytics tools like Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel, and customize the store's appearance. Conversely, Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPanda focuses on a very specific niche: legally binding electronic signatures and waivers. The target audience for B&S ‑ Add Custom Code includes merchants looking to enhance their store's functionality, track performance metrics, or customize the look and feel beyond the limitations of their theme. Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPanda targets merchants who need to obtain legally binding waivers or consent forms from their customers, such as those selling high-risk products, offering services that require waivers, or needing customer agreement for specific terms and conditions. The lack of ratings and reviews for B&S - Add Custom Code raises concerns about its usability and reliability compared to the highly-rated Waivers E-Signatures-SignPanda.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing to implement custom code, integrate analytics platforms, or modify their store's appearance beyond theme options, B&S ‑ Add Custom Code *could* be an option. However, the complete lack of ratings and reviews should be a major red flag. Thorough testing and caution are strongly advised. Consider looking for alternatives with established user feedback.
If the primary requirement is to collect legally binding waivers or electronic signatures, Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPanda is the clear winner. Its perfect rating and positive reviews suggest a reliable and user-friendly solution for this specific need. Merchants in industries requiring waivers (e.g., fitness studios, adventure activities, high-risk product sales) should strongly consider Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPanda over B&S ‑ Add Custom Code, as they serve completely different purposes.
Common Questions
Can B&S ‑ Add Custom Code replace a dedicated e-signature app like Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPanda?
No. While theoretically, you might attempt to create a rudimentary e-signature solution using B&S ‑ Add Custom Code by embedding JavaScript and HTML, it would lack the legal security, compliance features (like audit trails), and ease of use of a dedicated app like Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPanda.
Is Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPanda suitable for general store customization?
No, Waivers E‑Signatures‑SignPanda is not designed for general store customization. It focuses exclusively on collecting electronic signatures and waivers. For broader customization needs, consider alternative apps or custom theme development.
Why does B&S ‑ Add Custom Code have no reviews?
The lack of reviews for B&S ‑ Add Custom Code is concerning and could indicate a new app with few users, a problematic app with few satisfied users, or even potential app abandonment. Thorough investigation before installation is crucial.
Are both apps compatible with all Shopify themes?
While generally Shopify apps aim for broad theme compatibility, the descriptions don't guarantee this. With B&S - Add Custom Code, the integration of custom code might introduce compatibility issues with certain themes. Checking the app documentation or contacting the developers for specific theme compatibility information is recommended.
What are the security implications of using B&S ‑ Add Custom Code?
Using B&S ‑ Add Custom Code introduces potential security risks. Incorrectly implemented code can break your site, expose vulnerabilities to malicious actors, or negatively impact site performance. Thoroughly vet any code before implementation and regularly monitor your store's security.
