B&S ‑ Announcement Bar vs SA Request a Quote, Hide Pricefor Shopify (2026)
B&S ‑ Announcement Bar and SA Request a Quote, Hide Price are both Shopify apps categorized under 'Notifications,' but they serve vastly different purposes. B&S ‑ Announcement Bar focuses on improving sales through visually appealing and informative announcement banners. It aims to increase conversion rates by highlighting promotions, news, and discounts. On the other hand, SA Request a Quote, Hide Price caters to merchants who want to implement a request-for-quote (RFQ) system, primarily targeting B2B and D2C businesses that engage in price negotiation or need to hide prices from certain customers. The primary distinction lies in their core functionalities. B&S aims to broadcast information and drive immediate sales, whereas SA Request a Quote facilitates price negotiation and controls price visibility. B&S's strength is its customizable banner creation, scheduling, and ease of use. SA Request a Quote excels in managing quotes, hiding prices, and offering B2B specific features. The choice between the two depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs: one for promotional visibility, the other for quote management and price control.

Our Verdict
If you're looking to increase sales through eye-catching announcements and promotional banners, B&S ‑ Announcement Bar is a straightforward choice. Its focus is on visibility and driving immediate action. However, the low number of reviews should be considered.
For businesses, especially B2B or those offering highly customizable products, where price negotiation is common or price visibility needs to be controlled, SA Request a Quote, Hide Price is the better option. The higher number of reviews also suggests greater user confidence in its features and reliability. While B&S might provide a quick boost in conversions through promotions, SA Request a Quote provides a structural change to your sales process to better cater to B2B or pricing-sensitive customer bases.
