BSS B2B Quotes & Quick Order vs Craftybase Inventoryfor Shopify (2026)
BSS B2B Quotes & Quick Order and Craftybase Inventory are both Shopify apps addressing crucial aspects of e-commerce pricing, but they cater to fundamentally different needs and business models. BSS B2B Quotes & Quick Order focuses on facilitating wholesale and B2B transactions through quote requests, negotiation, and bulk ordering, making it ideal for businesses selling to other businesses. Craftybase Inventory, on the other hand, is geared towards small-batch manufacturers and makers, providing comprehensive inventory and production management tools to track raw materials, production costs, and sync stock levels with sales channels. They share a 'Pricing' category but address totally separate problems. The primary difference lies in their core function. BSS focuses on *pricing strategies* within a B2B context, specifically negotiation and volume discounts. Craftybase focuses on *cost of goods sold* and *inventory tracking* related to manufacturing. BSS provides tools for custom pricing and order management, including features like request-a-quote forms, bulk CSV uploads, and Shopify Plus integrations. Craftybase prioritizes accurate inventory valuation and automated production management, with features like batch tracking, bill of materials, and real-time stock syncing. The choice between the two depends entirely on whether a merchant needs to streamline B2B quote processes or manage the complexities of small-batch manufacturing.

Common Questions
Which app helps me offer different pricing to different customer groups?
BSS B2B Quotes & Quick Order is better suited for this as it allows for custom quote generation and negotiation, facilitating different pricing arrangements for various B2B clients. Craftybase doesn't directly support customer-specific pricing.
Does either app help me calculate the cost of my products?
Yes, Craftybase Inventory excels at calculating your Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by tracking raw materials, labor, and other production costs. BSS B2B Quotes & Quick Order does not have built-in COGS calculation; it is more focused on negotiated pricing.
Which app should I use if I sell both B2C and B2B?
It depends. If your B2B sales are a significant portion and require customized pricing and bulk ordering, BSS B2B Quotes & Quick Order can supplement your existing B2C setup. However, consider using both apps if you need to manage complex manufacturing processes in addition to B2B sales.
Which app is better if I don't use Shopify Plus?
While BSS B2B Quotes & Quick Order has specific integrations with Shopify Plus, the core functionality of quote requests and quick ordering can still be valuable without it. Craftybase's functionalities work independently of the Shopify Plus plan, offering value to any merchant managing a manufacturing inventory.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
The ease of use depends on your specific needs. BSS B2B Quotes & Quick Order is relatively straightforward if you understand B2B sales workflows. Craftybase Inventory, however, involves more complex setup due to the need to define raw materials, bills of materials, and production processes. It depends on your existing comfort level with inventory management principles.
