BST‑Frequently Bought Together vs Findter Custom Filter & Searchfor Shopify (2026)
BST‑Frequently Bought Together and Findter Custom Filter & Search cater to distinct needs within the Shopify ecosystem. BST targets merchants aiming to increase average order value through cross-selling and upselling, leveraging AI-powered product recommendations and customizable, mobile-first bundle widgets. Its strength lies in suggesting complementary products to customers based on purchase behavior, potentially boosting revenue without significant manual effort. Findter, on the other hand, focuses on improving product discoverability by enabling shoppers to quickly find what they need through advanced filtering and search functionalities. Findter aims to improve conversion rates by allowing customers to narrow down product selections based on numerous criteria like metafields, size, color, and price. While both apps share the 'Upsell and bundles - Other' category, their functionalities address different aspects of the customer journey. BST is about encouraging add-on purchases, while Findter prioritizes making initial product selection efficient. The lack of user reviews for Findter in 2026 is a significant differentiating factor, suggesting it might be a newer or less established app than BST, which boasts a perfect rating and a substantial number of reviews.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking an immediate boost to revenue through automated cross-selling and upselling, BST‑Frequently Bought Together is the clear choice. Its established reputation, perfect rating, and AI-powered recommendation engine offer a proven path to increasing average order values. Findter Custom Filter & Search, while potentially valuable for stores with extensive product catalogs, carries more risk due to the absence of user reviews.
If a merchant's primary concern is improving product discovery and reducing customer friction in finding specific items, and they are willing to be early adopters or require extensive filtering capabilities, Findter might be worth exploring. However, the lack of reviews makes it difficult to assess its reliability and effectiveness. Given the information available, BST is generally the safer and more immediately impactful option for most Shopify merchants in 2026.
