Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with improving their store's SEO and page loading speed, SEO Speed Image Optimizer is likely the better choice. Its focus on alt text optimization, image resizing, and SEO reporting provides clear benefits for search engine rankings and user experience. The larger number of reviews (183) also adds credibility.
However, merchants needing extensive bulk image editing and organization, especially those who frequently update their visual content for seasonal promotions or new product launches, would likely benefit more from Bulk Image Butler. While it has fewer reviews, its comprehensive features like drag-and-drop organization and 30-day backup offer significant value for time-strapped merchants. If image backup is a critical feature, Bulk Image Butler is the only option of the two.
