Bundly • Mix & Match Bundles vs FlexSync with Google Sheetsfor Shopify (2026)
Bundly • Mix & Match Bundles and FlexSync with Google Sheets, while both categorized under Inventory optimization, serve entirely different needs for Shopify merchants. Bundly focuses on boosting Average Order Value (AOV) through customizable product bundles. Its strength lies in offering features like Mix&Match bundles, Build Your Own Box options, and flexible pricing, all without altering existing product setups. The target audience is merchants looking to increase sales by offering product combinations and personalized shopping experiences. In contrast, FlexSync with Google Sheets concentrates on simplifying inventory management using Google Sheets. Its core strength is the 2-way inventory sync with Google Sheets, allowing for bulk editing and automation of Shopify updates. This app is tailored for merchants who prefer managing inventory through spreadsheets, especially those with large catalogs, and prioritize real-time stock synchronization. The key difference between the two lies in their core functionality. Bundly is a sales-focused app that helps create and market product bundles, while FlexSync is an operational tool that streamlines inventory management. Bundly improves the front-end shopping experience, whereas FlexSync optimizes back-end inventory processes. Merchants must assess whether their primary need is to enhance sales through bundling or to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency using Google Sheets. Considering these differences, the choice depends heavily on the merchant's specific business goals and operational preferences.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing sales growth through strategic product bundling and offering customizable shopping experiences, Bundly • Mix & Match Bundles is the clear choice. Its robust bundle building features, flexible pricing options, and built-in analytics make it a powerful tool for increasing AOV. However, the lack of compatibility with Shopify POS and subscription apps should be considered.
Conversely, merchants with complex inventory management needs, particularly those comfortable using Google Sheets for data manipulation, should opt for FlexSync with Google Sheets. The 2-way sync and bulk editing capabilities offer significant time savings and improved inventory accuracy. If spreadsheet-based inventory management is central to the business operations, FlexSync provides a valuable solution. The lower rating and fewer reviews should be taken into consideration and explored further before committing.
Common Questions
Which app is better for beginners?
Based on the descriptions, Bundly is likely easier to set up for beginners focused on simple bundling, due to native app blocks and focusing on sales. FlexSync, while promising 'effortless setup', requires familiarity with Google Sheets for effective inventory management.
Can both apps be used together?
Yes, theoretically. One focuses on bundling strategies (Bundly), and the other focuses on inventory synchronization with Google Sheets (FlexSync). They address different needs. But carefully consider the implications of any potential inventory discrepancies.
Which app offers more detailed analytics?
Bundly specifically mentions 'built-in analytics to monitor each bundle's performance,' suggesting more direct sales-related analytics. FlexSync focuses on inventory management, so its analytics would likely be related to stock levels and product data, not sales performance.
What if I want to offer subscriptions on my bundles?
Bundly is explicitly *not* compatible with subscription apps. Therefore, you will need to explore a different bundling app or a workaround if you want to offer subscriptions on bundled products.
Which app is better for large catalogs?
FlexSync states it can 'Manage large catalogs safely without CSV imports or re-uploads,' suggesting it is specifically designed for merchants with extensive product inventories. Bundly does not explicitly mention catalog size capabilities.
