Bundly • Mix & Match Bundles vs Lightning Inventoryfor Shopify (2026)
Bundly • Mix & Match Bundles and Lightning Inventory are both Shopify apps in the Inventory optimization category, but they address vastly different needs. Bundly focuses on increasing Average Order Value (AOV) through product bundling strategies, allowing merchants to create custom bundles like 'Mix and Match' or 'Build Your Own Box' without modifying existing product data. Its strength lies in its flexible pricing options, built-in analytics, and theme compatibility. The ideal customer for Bundly is a merchant looking to enhance their product offerings and boost sales through creative bundle options. Conversely, Lightning Inventory streamlines inventory management, concentrating on rapid inventory transfers and adjustments between locations. Its key features include barcode scanning, CSV import/export, and split transfers, making it suitable for merchants managing inventory across multiple locations or dealing with frequent stock adjustments.

Our Verdict
The choice between Bundly and Lightning Inventory depends heavily on the merchant's primary need. If the goal is to increase sales through product bundling and offer customized options to customers, Bundly is the clear choice, despite its limitations with Shopify POS and subscription apps. Its focus on AOV, analytics, and flexible pricing provides a targeted solution for bundle-driven growth. However, for merchants struggling with efficient inventory management, especially those dealing with multiple locations and frequent stock adjustments, Lightning Inventory provides the necessary tools for speed and accuracy. Its barcode scanning and CSV import/export capabilities are invaluable for streamlining inventory processes. Thus, Lightning Inventory wins when efficiency in internal operations is paramount.
