Our Verdict
The choice between Buy Button channel and Zapier depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs. If the goal is to easily integrate direct sales functionality into existing websites, blogs, or social media platforms, Buy Button channel is the more appropriate choice. Its focus on creating and customizing buy buttons, along with quick checkout links, makes it a straightforward solution for extending sales beyond the Shopify store.
However, if the merchant requires robust automation capabilities to streamline various operational tasks, Zapier is the better option. Its ability to connect Shopify with a vast array of other apps and automate complex workflows makes it suitable for businesses seeking to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes. While Zapier might require a steeper learning curve to set up initially, its long-term benefits in terms of time savings and improved workflows can be significant.
Common Questions

Does Zapier help with selling directly from my website like Buy Button channel?
Zapier indirectly supports website sales automation by connecting Shopify with other tools, such as lead capture forms or customer support systems. However, it doesn't directly create embeddable 'Buy' buttons like Buy Button channel.
Which app is better for a beginner Shopify merchant?
Buy Button channel is likely more suitable for beginner Shopify merchants due to its simpler functionality and focus on a specific task: enabling direct sales from external websites.
