Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to expand their sales channels onto existing blogs or external websites, Buy Button Plus channel is the relevant choice. Its focus on easy embedding, aesthetic customization, and support for various product types makes it suitable for those without extensive coding knowledge who want to convert their online presence into a direct sales platform. Conversely, SyncUP: Users and Course Sync is ideal for merchants selling online courses and needing to streamline user management between their Shopify store and an LMS or other platforms. The automated enrollment and data synchronization features offer significant value in terms of time savings and improved user experience. Given its established rating and positive reviews, SyncUP presents a more reliable option for its specific niche, but Buy Button Plus may be suitable if the user wants very basic integration.
Common Questions
Can Buy Button Plus channel integrate with Learning Management Systems (LMS)?
The app description does not mention direct LMS integration. Its primary function is to embed buy buttons on external sites, not to manage course enrollment or user data within an LMS.
Does SyncUP: Users and Course Sync work for merchants selling physical products?
While technically it can create and sync users, its core functionality centers around user enrollment in online courses. It would be an overkill for simply selling physical products.
Is Buy Button Plus channel suitable for merchants with no website?
No. Buy Button Plus is designed to embed buy buttons on existing websites or blogs. If you don't have an external website or blog, its functionality is irrelevant.
What platforms does SyncUP support for user synchronization besides LMS platforms?
SyncUP supports user synchronization with Azure, Okta, Shopify, Auth0, and Salesforce, in addition to various LMS platforms like Uscreen, Docebo, Thinkific, LearnWorlds, Moodle, and Canvas.
Why does Buy Button Plus channel have no reviews?
The lack of reviews could indicate that the app is new, has low adoption, or has issues preventing users from leaving feedback. More research and caution would be advised before installing an app without user reviews.
