BuyAfterTry vs Hide Payment & Shipping iWebfor Shopify (2026)
BuyAfterTry and Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb are both Shopify apps in the 'Payment options - Other' category, but they target drastically different needs. BuyAfterTry focuses on innovative sales strategies by allowing merchants to offer 'try before you buy' options, create multiple selling plans, and streamline returns. Its core strength lies in enabling flexible purchasing experiences to potentially boost conversions and customer satisfaction. In contrast, Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb centers around optimizing the checkout process by giving merchants control over payment gateways and shipping methods. Its value proposition is to improve the user experience at checkout by customizing these options based on various conditions, potentially reducing cart abandonment and enhancing customer satisfaction. BuyAfterTry, despite its promising concept, suffers from a significant lack of social proof, with a 0/5 rating and no reviews. This makes it a riskier choice for merchants who prioritize established reliability. Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb, on the other hand, boasts a perfect 5/5 rating with 9 reviews, suggesting a positive user experience and reliable functionality. The ease of use, especially the 'zero coding required' aspect of Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb, further distinguishes it, appealing to merchants who lack technical expertise. Ultimately, the choice between the two depends heavily on the merchant's priorities. One focuses on expanding purchasing possibilities, while the other is focused on customizing the checkout experience.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a proven solution to optimize the checkout process by customizing payment and shipping options, Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb is the clear choice. Its perfect rating and positive reviews suggest reliability and ease of use, specifically the 'zero coding required' claim, which will appeal to those who aren't technically inclined. The app's ability to show/hide and rearrange payment/shipping methods based on conditions makes it a practical option for improving customer experience at a crucial stage.
BuyAfterTry offers an interesting concept with its 'try before you buy' and selling plan features. However, the complete lack of reviews and ratings makes it a high-risk option in 2026. While the idea of flexible payment plans is attractive, merchants would be wise to wait until it has established a proven track record and social proof. It would suit early adopters willing to take a risk in the hopes of gaining a competitive edge through novel purchasing options, but the risk of choosing an unproven app is considerable.
