BuyerCheck vs Fraud Falcon ‑ Block & Preventfor Shopify (2026)
BuyerCheck and Fraud Falcon ‑ Block & Prevent are both Shopify apps in the fraud prevention category, but they address different aspects of the problem. BuyerCheck focuses specifically on reducing losses from failed Cash on Delivery (COD) orders by using AI to predict risk and potentially disable COD at checkout. Its target audience is merchants who experience significant financial losses due to COD order failures. Fraud Falcon, on the other hand, takes a broader approach to fraud prevention, allowing merchants to build custom fraud filter rules to block orders based on various criteria such as risk level, email type, and IP address. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with reducing losses from failed Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, BuyerCheck's AI-driven approach might seem appealing, but with no reviews and a zero rating it is a risky choice. Fraud Falcon ‑ Block & Prevent is more suited for merchants looking for a comprehensive fraud prevention solution that allows them to customize rules and actions based on various risk factors. The setup wizard and positive reviews make it a more reliable choice given the available data. Even with only a few reviews, it establishes confidence in its capabilities over an unproven alternative. If your primary concern is COD fraud specifically and you are willing to take a risk, BuyerCheck might be worth exploring *after* it has demonstrable, positive reviews. Otherwise, Fraud Falcon is the safer bet.
